(Guess how much I know about martial arts.) Basically, they had a karate instructor, but needed a teacher as sponsor, so I reluctantly agreed. At the two or three practices I attended, the guys were terrible. No coordination. No discipline. So when they took the stage and started by thanking me, I wanted to melt away in shame. But then they performed, and literally kicked ass, and got an amazing round of applause.
